In Loving Memory: Gilman A. Ouellette

Gilman A. Ouellette, lovingly known to many as “Noune”, beloved brother and cherished friend, passed away on April 2, 2024 in New Britain Ct., leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion.
Born on August 3, 1940 to Mathilda (Chamberland) and Denis Ouellette, Gil graced this world with his presence for 83 years. He was a beacon of light to all who knew him, his warmth and compassion touching the lives of countless individuals. Throughout his life, Gil exemplified resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
Gil’s number one love was spending time with family and friends, especially when he could spend that time with his family in his hometown of St. Agatha in Northern Maine, exploring the beauty of nature while fishing, or pursuing his collecting, he embraced each moment especially family time with enthusiasm and gratitude. A dedicated employee of the city of New Britain, CT, he left a lasting impact on his colleagues and community.
Above all, Gil will be remembered for his boundless love and generosity. Whether it was for family or friends, he had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued, his compassionate nature leaving a mark on the hearts of those he encountered. Gil leaves behind one brother, Danny Ouellette of St. Agatha, two sisters, Jeannine Bourgoin and Florence Martin both of Madawaska, along with several brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish the memories they shared together. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his presence. He was predeceased by his Mother and Father, wife Relda LaBonte, brothers Bertrand, Marc Emile, Jean Paul, Robert, Allyre, Reginald, Claude and two sisters: Jackie and Linda.
A celebration of Gil’s (Noune’s ) life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul that graced our lives. May he rest in peace in the eternal embrace of heaven, knowing he is dearly loved and deeply missed.
