Sheldon McBreairty

Sheldon McBreairty passed away at home after a long hard battle with cancer On March 19, 2024. Sheldon was born in Allagash on October 16, 1954.

Sheldon is survived by his wife of 41 years, Addie Marie McBreairty, three children, Justin Hafford, Craig McBreairty, Felicia(Jason) Lewis, siblings Nathan McBreairty, Rose McBreairty, Donnie (Dottie) McBreairty, Rose McBreairty, Willard McBreairty, Colleen (Billy) Pelletier, Marie (Earl) Thomas, Joyia (Delwyn) Ouellette, Frank (Catherine) McBreairty, Elbridge (Tammy) McBreairty, Cindy (Aaron) Garland, Lila (Collis) Simmons, Tina (Gary) Jandreau, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and 11 grandchildren who he loved very much.

He was predeceased by his parents Donald and Irene McBreairty, two brothers, Anthony and Ronnie McBreairty, one nephew Donald McBreairty, Uncle Roy and Aunt Christine McBreairty, Aunt Leanne McBreairty Hughes, Uncle Maynard Jackson, two special cousins that were more like siblings, Manny and Wilda Hughes Saunders.

Sheldon lived every day to the fullest and loved to hunt and fish, visit with friends and family, and most of all spend time with his sweet little dog Sophie whom he loved with his whole heart. Sheldon had a big heart and would help anyone in need; there was no limit to his willingness to help others. He will be missed by many but especially those who were close to him.

There will be no funeral service but there will be a memorial service for family at the Allagash Cemetery on June 15, 2024, along with a gathering following for anyone who would like to attend to share stories and remember a man who brought so much happiness to so many lives, and as he would say,” chop chop. “
