Alverie J. Tardif, 93, died on August 12, 2019 at NMMC surrounded by his family.  He was born in St. Agatha, ME. on March 3, 1926, the son of Albert and Marie Anne ‘Raymond’ Tardif.  He was retired from Fraser Paper after 35 years of service.  He also worked as a blacksmith, machinist and welder his adult life into his senior years. 

He is survived by one sister, Ann Marie St. Peter of Fort Fairfield, three sons and their wives,  Louis and Marie of Wolcott, CT., Gerald ‘Joe’ and Joyce and Alvin and Debbie, all of Frenchville, ME.; daughters, Mary Ann Tanguay of Fort Kent, ME., Louise and Camille Duval of Knoxville, TN. Helene and Leonard Robinson of Radcliff, KY., Evelyn Tardif of Madawaska, ME., and Sandra and Rolland Carrier of Frenchville, ME.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife Irene ‘Lavoie’, three sons, Carlton, Russell and Joseph, one daughter, Gloria Theriault, one son-in-law, Nick Tanguay and his seven brothers and one sister.

Friends and relatives may give their condolences to the family at the Michaud Funeral Home in Frenchville on Saturday August 17, 2019 from 8:00am to 9:30am.  The funeral will be at the St. Luce Church at 10:00am.  Burial will be at the St. Agatha Lower Cemetery following the service.
