Anita Picard, 80, died unexpectedly on January 22, 2026, at a Houlton Care Facility. Anita was born in Madawaska, January 27, 1945, the daughter of Levite and Gertrude (Pelletier) Michaud and was also raised by Gerard and Agnes (Ringuette) Pelletier.
Anita loved being outdoors during the summertime as she could be seen working in her flowers and mowing her lawn. She had a love for knitting and reading.
Anita is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Jason) Pelletier of Madawaska, and Donna (Mike) Thibodeau of Frenchville, a son, Dale Picard of Saco, Maine. Two very special grandchildren, Ciarra and Jared Thibodeau, two step grandchildren, Chantal and Michelle Pelletier. Her companion, Darrill Jandreau of ten years, two sisters, Joan Collin of Caribou and Lorette Roy of Florida, and a brother, Larry of New York.
Anita was predeceased by her husband Elzear (Pit) Picard in 2007, her parents and seven siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the St. Agatha Catholic Church in St. Agatha, Maine. There will be a receiving line at 9:00am before service at church. Interment will be held in the spring at the St. Agatha Lower Cemetery.
