Austin Philip Corriveau, 26, of Madawaska, passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2026.
Born on July 6, 1999, Austin was the beloved son of Paul Corriveau and Julie Soucy. He was a proud graduate of Wisdom High School, Class of 2017. Austin worked as a Fence Panel Maker for Valley Cedar Products and was a highly skilled, self-taught mechanic and painter. He took great pride in his work, often spearheading auto body projects with his dad and bringing life back into anything he put his hands on.
Austin lived a life rooted in the outdoors and in the people he loved. His happiest days were spent hunting, fishing, and picking fiddleheads alongside his parents. He had a deep appreciation for nature and found peace in the woods and on the water. Whether he was working on a project or simply enjoying the outdoors, he was always most content when surrounded by family and his dogs. He had a special bond with his dogs who meant more than the world to him: Stella, Max, Zoey, Maggie, as well as his handful of chickens and ducks.
Austin will be remembered as someone with a truly kind and compassionate soul. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need, always putting others before himself without hesitation. He had a way of making people feel comfortable and cared for, and his presence brought warmth to those around him. His sense of humor, joking nature, and signature chuckle will be deeply missed, leaving a silence that will never quite be filled. Above all, Austin’s love for his family was unwavering. He cherished every moment spent with them, and that love will continue to live on in all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving parents, Paul Corriveau of Madawaska and Julie Soucy of Eagle Lake; his brother, Zachery Corriveau and fiancée Emily Thibodeau, his sister, Payton Soucy, and special niece Vivian Corriveau all of Madawaska. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles: Peter Corriveau of St. Agatha, Norman Corriveau of St. Agatha, Brian Corriveau and wife Bridgette of St. David, Mary Ann Bouchard and husband Corey of Portage, Carol Cyr of St. Agatha, Tracy Corriveau and companion Alan Beaulieu of Madawaska, Laura Pelletier and husband Daniel of Frenchville, Sharron Soucy of Caribou, Troy Soucy and wife Vanessa of Van Buren, and Timmy Soucy of St. David, along with many cherished cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Arlene Ringuette of St. Agatha and Ernest Soucy of Van Buren; his paternal grandparents, Philip and Aline (Beaulieu) Corriveau of St. Agatha; and his beloved dog, Bear.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Agatha Church on April 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m, to be followed by a meal downstairs.
