Azilda Leonard, 98 died peacefully at a Madawaska Health Facility Wednesday May 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Grand Isle, Me on Sept. 20, 1916.

She was the daughter of Philip  & Agnes (Beaulieu) Chasse.  She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne of Grand Isle.  She is Survived by  one son, Philip "Babe" Leonard and his wife Kathleen of Madawaska,  two daughters Lorraine Theriault of  East Hartford, Ct. and Theresa Leonard of New Hampshire.  8 grandchildren Donna, Danielle, Nicole, Joyce, Gail, Scott, Robin & Timothy and  17 great- grandchildren Nathan, Noah, Tristen, Mackenzie, Taylor, Alex, Lauren, Nick, Louis, Emrys, Tyler, Jarod, Shane, Brandon, Timothy Jr, Blake, Jonathan and one great-great granddaughter, Charlotte.   One  Brother Armand 'Mickey" Chasse of Grand Isle,  Three sisters Cecile Chasse of Quebec Canada, Ernestine Dumonte of North Carolina and Gertrude Chasse of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband Malcolm Leonard in 1996 , three sisters Corrine Picard,  Rolande  Lavoie, & Julie Dionne.   Four brothers Walter, Gilman,  Norman & Albert. A grand daughter, Karen Leonard Bourgoin, son-in-law Daniel "Fox" Theriault and Louis Esposito.

Friends and relatives may call the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha Sunday May 31, 2015 from 6 - 8 p.m. and Monday  June 1, 2015  8:30am untill time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle, with Rev.  Jim Plourde officiating  and burial  in the St. Gerard Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to www.michaudfuneralhomes.com.
