Barbara R (Fongemie) Paradis

 FRENCHVILLE- Barbara R Paradis 76, passed away peacefully on June 28,2022 at Ridgewood Estates in Madawaska. She was born in Frenchville on January 7 ,1946, the daughter of the late Valere and Virginie (Bard) Fongemie and wife of the late Lawrence (Noir) Paradis. Barbara worked at Northern Maine Hospital for years and then she worked on the family own farm along with her husband as a secretary.

Barbara is survived by one sister, Nancy St. Pierre of Supply NC, and sister- in- laws Karin (Edward) Fongemie of FL, Karen (Clayton) Fongemie, Karon (Frank) Fongemie, Therese (Roland)St Pierre, Jacqueline (Bill) Contois, Francoise Paradis, Susan (Dave) Morin, and Elizbeth (Christopher) Records, and brother in laws Roland (Phyllis), Gerard (Deryl), Robert (Lucy), Danny (Doreen), Mike (Jackie) and Lloyd (Judy)Paradis as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence, her parents Valere and Virginie Fongemie, and her brothers, Edward, Clayton, Frank Fongemie, her sisters Jackie Lango and Francis Fongemie, brother-in-law, Edgar, Edward Paradis and Amie St Pierre, a sister- in -law Doris Paradis, father-in-law Raoul Paradis and mother-in-Law Lucille Paradis. The family wishes to thank Ridgewood Estate staff for giving Barbara excellent loving care for almost 7yrs, the care and loving attention she had was just what kept her living a safe and comfortable life.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday July 6,2022 at 10am at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church St Luce/Frenchville. Visiting hours will be Tuesday July 5,2022 from 6pm to 8pm at Michaud Funeral Home in Frenchville. Burial will be at the St. Luce Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Edgar J Paradis Cancer Fund, Ridgewood Activity Dept. or Our Lady of the Valley Memorial Fund at St. Luce Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Michaud Funeral Home.
