Carlene Martin Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our devoted wife and mother, Carlene Martin. Carlene passed away peacefully after a courageous battle at her home, embraced by the love of her family, on August 20th, 2025, at the age of 78.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. Carlene dedicated her life to education, inspiring countless students with her passion and creativity. Her classroom was a place where young minds blossomed, and her impact extended far beyond the school walls.

Carlene was an avid quilter, and her intricate designs and vibrant colors reflected her artistic spirit. Each stitch was a testament to her love and attention to detail. Her hands were rarely still, creating beautiful blankets, woolen socks, hats, and sweaters that warmed the hearts of many. Her love for beauty extended to her flower garden, where she cultivated a vibrant array of blooms, each one a reflection of her nurturing soul.

Beyond her crafts and career, Carlene cherished camping trips, vacations, and moments filled with laughter. Her radiant smile and sparkling blue eyes had the power to brighten any room and her warm embrace made everyone feel loved. Above all, she treasured her role as a mother and grandmother and shared an unbreakable bond with her husband, Richard Martin, of 62 years. In addition to Richard, she leaves behind 3 children, Denise, Sarah (Robert), and Shawn (Tia), seven grandchildren, Desiree, Natalie, Richie, Hunter, Brooke, Dominic, and Olivia, and two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Clara. Carlene's legacy of unconditional love and unwavering support were the cornerstones of her family and will live on in the hearts and traditions of her loved ones forever. Carlene will be deeply missed by her husband, children, and all who knew her.

In accordance with her wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at 313 Main Street St. Agatha, Maine at 10:00am on Saturday, August 30th, 2025. Relatives and friends are welcome to offer their condolences and reminisce with us at Michaud Funeral Home.

Take with you what our mom always said, “SMILE,” it increases your face value.
