ST. AGATHA- Carol (Lizotte) Derosier, 62, passed away peacefully on, April 1, 2013 at her residence in St. Agatha surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Sinclair on September 3, 1950, the daughter of Rene and Rena (Chamberland) Lizotte. She was a graduate of Wisdom/Middle High School. She then attended Twin City Beauty School in Brewer, ME where she earned her degree in hairdressing in 1969. She established her salon in St. Agatha where she was able to develop her talent as an avid hairstylist. She discontinued her business only to assist her husband, Dick, with the family farm. In 1983 she became the proud co-founder of the Lakeview Restaurant and Camping Resort.
Carol was a beautiful, kind, compassionate and selfless woman who was loved by many. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and wasn’t inhibited in tackling what she believed to be issues of interest. She was the co-organizer of the St. Agatha Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary along with her sister, Mary Ann and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 145 for 43 years. Carol and Dick enjoyed their time together taking trips and going on cruises. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing cards, scrapbooking and playing slots. Her passion for gardening in the summer was very noticeable when you drove to the Lakeview and saw the bountiful flower gardens. In the winter, she took great pride in decorating for the holiday season. Most of all, she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved spending time with family, friends and especially treasured her time with her precious grandchildren.
Carol will be dearly missed by her loving family, relatives and friends who knew her throughout her life. She is survived by her mother, Rena Lizotte of Madawaska, her three beautiful daughters, Lisa Derosier & her significant loved one Shawn Pelletier of Madawasaka, Becky & her husband Ryan Pelletier of Frenchville and Jennifer & her husband Jason Daigle of St. Agatha.
