Frenchville – Cecile (Sirois) Sirois, 98 died peacefully on May 11, 2022 at St. Joseph Memory Care in Frenchville, Maine.
Cecile was born October 12, 1923 in Frenchville, Maine, the second child and oldest daughter of Denis O. Sirois and Mary (Morneault) Sirois.
Most important to Cecile was spending time with her family as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband (Leonide), three children, Luc Sirois, Lucille Chasse and Diane Sirois. In addition, four brothers, Maurice Sirois, Rosaire, Leonel and Luc; four sisters, Lucille, Therese, Artheline and Marilyn Blier. She also lost two grandsons, Carl Sirois and Chad Sirois.
She is survived by four sons: Daniel and his wife Carol of Madawaska, ME; Camille and his wife Deborah of Salters, SC; Don and his wife Kathleen of Madawaska, ME and Dennis and his wife Diane of Bristol, CT. She is the mother-in-law of Lise Sirois of Frenchville, ME. She was very proud of her 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was a hard working, creative person whose laugh could be heard in any gathering. In her younger days she enjoyed bowling, cooking, crocheting and playing cards. She has made many blankets throughout the years which have been enjoyed by many. Some were also given as fund raisers for various organizations. She was a lifetime member of American Legion Auxiliary and also a lifetime member of the Ladies of St. Anne.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska, Me. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Friends and relatives may call at Michaud Funeral Home in Frenchville, Me. Friday, May 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning, May 14, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Church Building Fund or St. Joseph Memory Care Activity Fund.
