Claude Lavertue

Grand Isle, ME---Claude Lavertue entered Eternal Life on December 3, 2024, following a brief illness at a Bangor Health Facility.  He was born on July 5, 1939, Grand Isle, the son of Albert and Hectorine (Dumais) Lavertue.

Claude was a life-long volunteer for his parish, a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and a Grand Isle firefighter.

He is survived by his son, John of Grand Isle, two brothers, Bertrand and Leo James, two sisters, Bertha and Joan.

Claude was predeceased by his beloved wife, Adeline (Cote) Lavertue in 2015, his parents, two brothers, Wilmer and Donald and one sister, Theresa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Catholic Church, Grand Isle. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday December 6 at 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday December 7 at 8:00 to 9:00 AM at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha.  Burial will be in the spring at the St. Gerard Cemetery, Grand Isle, ME
