David O. Blanchette, "Big Red", 68,passed away unexpectedly with his wife by his side on January 9, 2023 at his home in Frenchville.  David was born August 1, 1954, in Madawaska, the son of the late Conrad and Jeannine (Pelletier) Blanchette. David is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Cyr, his 3 children Lee Ann Devoe and her husband Carl, Tammy Raymond and her husband Roland, and Eric Blanchette and girlfriend Andrea Chasse.  David had six grandchildren Matthew, Lance, Sierrah, Jacob, Antonio and Sophie.   He was predeceased by his sister Carlene, and brother Ronny.

He attended Wisdom High School. Dave was a loving and devoted father to his family. He attended the United Pentecostal Church in Edmundston, New Brunswick Canada. He loved to talk about Jesus. He was a faithful man of the Lord. Many would remember him by his love for the Word of the Lord.      

Per family request no calling hours. Ceremony will be held at graveside in the Spring to be announced later.
