Dolores C. (Chasse) Dugal

St. David

Dolores C. Dugal R.N., 88 passed away peacefully at her residence September 18, 2019 surrounded by her family.  She was born in Grand Isle, Maine June 20, 1931 the daughter of Firmin & Alvina ‘Bouchard’ Chasse. 

She was a member of the St. David Parish since 1959, Ladies of St. Anne, the Daughters of Isabella & American Legion Post 147 Auxiliary.  Dolores was an advocate for the sick, consistently addressing their vulnerabilities and fears.  She maintained the utmost respect for her profession and utilized her knowledge towards the nurturing of others whether it be family, friend or stranger.  Other than her children, Dolores’s greatest love was her career as a Registered Nurse that began when she graduated from L’ecole de Gardes Malades a Hotel Dieu de St. Joseph Edmundston N.B. Canada in 1953.  She then began working at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Edmundston until 1970 when she was hired at Fraser Paper working for Dr. Fred Harrigan MD until her retirement in 1996. 

Dolores is survived by 4 sons, Daniel & his wife Lise, Michael, Charles and Louis and his wife Cathy: 4 daughters, Therese Charette, Lorraine, Anne, and Louise and her husband Harvey Doleman, one brother Raoul Chasse, 11 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Gabriel, her son Paul and Son-In-Law Joel Charette; Sisters Therese Chasse (infant), Sylvia Long, Adrienne Chasse, and Lorraine Cyr and a brother Roland ‘Mickey’ Chasse.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the St. David Catholic Church on Monday September 23, 2019 at 10:00am.  Friends & Relatives may give their condolences to the Family from 8:30am.-9:30am.at Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha.
