A Mass of Christian Burial for Florine (Morin) Michaud will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Church in St. Agatha at 10 a.m., on Saturday, July 3, 2021. 

Florine, 83,passed away peacefully on December 6, 2020, in Manchester, NH.  She was born on January 1, 1937, in St. Agatha to Joseph D. and Ida (Pelletier) Morin. She graduated from St. Agatha High School in 1954 andmarried her husband, Jack, in 1961.  She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, teaching her children the importance of family, friends, and faith. 

Florine worked for Maine Public Service Company for twelve years but will be best remembered as a fixture behind the counter of the St. Agatha post officewhere she had a38-year career, serving the last twenty years as Postmaster.She took pleasure in serving her customers and connecting with members of the community daily.

Florine’s commitment to the community was further fueled by her strong Catholic faith and pride in her Acadian heritage.  At her core, Florine was kind, compassionate, and giving.  She was an enthusiastic volunteer, devoting immeasurable time to the parish, Ste-Agathe Historical Society, Long Lake Public Library,and Ladies of St. Anne.

Florine was an avid reader, continuous learner, and enjoyed expanding her horizons. She traveled extensively, whether with family or friends, experiencing many adventures and creating some of her favorite memories.  Her kind heart, quick wit, and bright eyes will be missed.

Florine is survived by her children, Andrew of Naples, FL, and Elaine of Manchester, NH;her siblings, Francis and wife Claudia, James and wife Patricia, Phillip and partner Stan Albert, and Rita (James) Chamberland, all of St. Agatha; Patricia of Lake Worth, FL; Gerard of Old Orchard Beach, ME; Lorraine Zimmerman of Loxahatchee, FL; and a multitude of nieces and nephews and their families.  She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and siblings Maurice, Angela, Camille, Rose Marie (Joseph) Lapointe, and Richard.
