      Fredrick Donovan, 69 died peacefully on June 10, 2018 at a Madawaska Health Center. He was born in Bangor , Maine  Feb.11, 1949 the son of Jasper and Earnestine 'Sheafe' Donovan Sr.  He worked many years on his parents potato farm, in lumber mills and as a Truck Driver. Fred was a former member of the Elks Lodge of Presque Isle, & Former ASA softball umpire. Fredrick  loved hunting, fishing, playing cards with his best friends and in-laws Nena and Charles Mims, coin collecting and collecting  baseball cards. His favorite pastime was watching the Red Sox, Ny  Giants, and Boston Celtics.  He is survived by his wife Margaret 'Macwhinnie' ,  two daughters April and her husband Ray Barfield of North Waterboro and Melodie and her husband Paul Lavoie of Madawaska , Me.  One grand child Alyssa Barfield. One brother Jasper Jr. and his wife Connie of Alabama, and one sister Dorretta Carney of Bangor. He was predeceased by his Father and two brothers Ronald and Dennis, one sister Lula.

Friends and relatives may give their condolences to the family at the St. Agatha Catholic Church on Friday  June 15, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. till time of services.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the St. Agatha Catholic Church.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers that money can be given to help cover his funeral costs.
