Gayle (Plourde) Pelletier

Saint Agatha – Gayle Plourde Pelletier, 68, passed away September 24, 2016, and was granted her angel wings after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that loved her dearly.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Aurore (Guimond) Plourde and Doris Cote, maternal mother. Gayle was born October 22, 1947, in Merriden, Conn. She graduated from Wisdom High School in 1966.

Gayle was an outgoing woman whose children and grandchildren were her joy in life. Gayle was a strong and giving woman whose bubbly personality and outlook will be forever remembered, never complaining a day in her life. She lit up every room she was in and took charge of every situation. She devoted 20 years to the Lioness Club and formed forever lasting friendships lovingly known as the Birthday Girls.

The two decades that Gayle worked at the Long Lake Motor Inn allowed her to form special bonds with friends near and far. Always welcoming with a warm smile and a kind heart, never to be forgotten. 

With all of her strength and determination, Gayle was to be able to attend her 50^th Class Reunion, her final goal, to reminisce with her childhood classmates.

She is survived by three children, Kim McGlinn and her husband, Jerry of Mapleton, Randy Pelletier and Lisa Beaulieu of Edmundston, Ryan Pelletier and his wife, Becky of Frenchville; 7 grandchildren, whom she adored dearly, Bethany, Matthew, Cody, Katie, Reece, Logan, and Blake; 1 Great Grandchild, Huxley; 3 sisters, Gloria Gervais of St. Agatha, Claudia Morin and her husband Francis of Sinclair, Rita Plourde of Lewiston. 2 Sister in Laws, Pauline Plourde of Plainville, Conn. and Fern Plourde of Ft. Fairfield.; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Gayle was predeceased by 2 brothers, Joseph Plourde and Gerard Plourde

Friends and relatives may give their condolences to the family at Our Lady of the Valley in St. Agatha from 8:30am until the time of services. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10am Saturday, October 1, 2016, with the Rev. Kent Ouellette officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Edgar J.
