Gedeon Corriveau Obituary

Gedeon Joseph Corriveau, 91 passed away on December 9, 2017 in Madawaska, ME.  He was born on July 19, 1926 in Frenchville, ME to George Corriveau and Roseanna Cote Corriveau.  After high school, he served in the Army as a Combat Engineer during the Korean War, building roads in Alaska.  After returning to help his father, he met the love of his life Aline Belanger and married in 1953.  They enjoyed 65 years together and raised eight children.  He worked at Fraser Paper, as well as owned and operated a buckwheat gristmill.  He served with the Frenchville Fire Department for 66 years and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

He is survived by his spouse Aline of Madawaska, and his children:  sons, George(Jocelyne),and Michael  (Rilda), and daughters, Rose Michaud (Don), Cecile Goslin (Paul),Monique Pelletier (Tom), Lisa Daigle (Jim), Nicole Corriveau (William); as well as 23 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; brother Ronald Corriveau of Colchester, CT; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased in death by his parents, brothers Fidele and Camille, sisters Candide, Juliette, Sr. Candide, D.W. and Gabrielle and son Marc.

Relatives and friends may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha, ME on Tuesday December 12 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm and Wednesday, December 13 from 8:30-9:30.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Luce Church in Frenchville, ME with Fr. Jim Plourde officiating.  Burial will be at the St. LuceCemetary in the Spring.
