Gerald Joseph Michaud

Gerald (Nal) Michaud, 84 passed away suddenly Tuesday evening May 2, 2023 at Northern Maine Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 15, 1939 in St. Agatha, ME.
Gerald was the son of Henry and Catherine (Chasse) raised in St Agatha, ME. His parents were owners of Henry Michaud and Son's Well Drilling where he worked for his father and along with his siblings for many years.
He had a beautiful home that he was very proud of. Both he and his wife, Violet (Vi) gardened and shared all they had with so many people. Gerald's devotion was always to his wife, two children and grandchildren.
Gerald was an avid outdoors man, from hunting, fishing and snowmobiling, you name it. He loved getting ready for every trip that meant he could be outdoors. He was known for his “Specialty Beans, Saturdays eventually became beans and hot dog day, something his daughter Jen and Frank came to enjoy weekly. Gerald was also known to listen to the radio, drink coffee or his Miller Lite in his breeze way that allowed everyone to gather and come enjoy themselves.
He worked for Fraser Papers for 36 years. He made many friendships with the men and missed them dearly when he retired.
Gerald proudly served the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 147 in Madawaska.
He leaves behind, his beloved wife of 60 years Violet (Vi) Lynch, his son Peter and wife Paula, and daughter Jennifer and husband Frank McLeod, two grandchildren, Olivia and Renee both of New Hampshire. Three brothers James and wife Jackie, Philip and wife Hermance, Babe and wife Yvette.
Gerald is predeceased by his parents Henry and Catherine, and his sister Dorothy.
A private grave site service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Caribou for the immediate family at a later date.
