Gerard G. Cyr 77, died peacefully June 16, 2023 at a Health Care Facility in Madawaska, surrounded by his family. He was born May 9, 1946 in Frenchville, ME. The son of Remi and  Marie (Derosier) Cyr.   He was a 3rd degree Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Madawaska.  He worked 30 years at Fraser Papers as a forman in Maintenance. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.   He is survived by his wife Rachel of 54 years, two daughters Lisa and her husband (Glenn) Thibeault, and Tracy Levesque both of Madawaska, ME.  One very special grandson Justin Thibeault of Bangor, ME. Two  brothers, Thaddee and Joan Cyr of Frenchville, ME and Philip Cyr of Brooksville, FL., one sister in-law Carol Cyr of Little River, SC. and one brother in law Russel Beaulieu of Grand Isle, ME.  Several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two sisters Cecilia and Claire, two brothers Richard and Kenneth Cyr.

Burial will be at a later date.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Michaud Funeral Homes of St. Agatha.
