Gilles R. Dugal, 77, passed away May 29, 2018 in Bangor, ME.  He was born January 8, 1941, the son of George Emile and Germaine ‘Boucher’ Dugal in St. Agatha, ME. 

He worked at Fraser Paper for 10 years and then was the Assistant Manager of a Maine State Liquor store for 36 years.  He was a Knights of Columbus member (4^th degree) and was a fireman for the St. Agatha Fire Department.  He was a dedicated sports fan, in particular for the Boston Red Sox or any other New England team.  He coached a women’s summer softball league for many years.  He loved photography and was a collector of many things including coins, stamps and model cars (but only FORD) cars).  He was a dedicated fan for his children’s sporting events and always had words of encouragement and support.  He cherished his three grandsons and loved spending time with his family.  He was known by many for his sense of humor and being a jokester

He is survived by his wife Ginette ’Albert’ Dugal of Madawaska, one son Mark Dugal and his wife Jeanna of Lisbon, Me., one daughter Lynn and husband Doug King of Bangor.  Three brothers, Cecil, George and wife Ginette, and Leo James Dugal, all of Madawaska.  Two sisters, Raymonde Vanier of Montreal, Roberta and husband Louis Perron of Lewiston, ME., one brother-in-law Andre Fullum and one sister-in-law Delores Dugal.  Three grandchildren Ryan King, Adam King and Kylan Dugal.

He was predeceased by one brother Gabriel,  sister Pierette, brother-in-law Claude Vanier, and sister- in- law Claudette.

Friends and Relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha Monday June 4, 2018 from 8:30 till 9:45.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am. with Rev. James Plourde officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association of Maine.
