WASHBURN, ME
Gregory M. Cropley Sr, 65, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2023 at St. Joseph’s
Memory Care in Frenchville, ME. He was born in Lincoln, ME on April 12, 1957 to Grover Cropley Jr. and
Roberta Mills-Jandreau.
Greg leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Gregory Cropley Jr. and wife Joy of Washburn; his
daughter, Jennifer Cropley-Farr and partner Jarad Carney of Ashland; his step-daughters, Heidi Bois of
Presque Isle; Nicki Bois-Small and husband Randy of Caribou. He has seven grandchildren he adored,
Brandon, Owen, Kelsey, Karissa, Haley, Rikkie and Gunner. He also leaves behind his sister, Victoria
Cropley-Kirschmann of Hermon, his niece and nephews, Troy, Josiah, Misti, Christopher and Donny.
He was predeceased by both of his parents, his sister Melanie Cropley-Morin, and many of Aunts and
Uncles.
Greg worked for Aroostook County Electric Supply for 26 years. He loved his job, the people and
traveling for them. He worked a lot of side jobs doing electrical and carpentry, as well as always helping
family and friends.
He was full of life, always talking to people and smiling. He loved children, which led to him doing foster
care for 10 years. He spent many years helping his mother and stepfather in their wood lot. He loved
tinkering around his house, BBQ’s with family and friends, riding his motorcycle and enjoyed golfing with
his son. He was always out visiting and helping others.
His family would like to thank the staff, which has become family, at St. Joseph’s for the continued love
and care of Greg over the last 5 years while he battled dementia.
