Irma (Marquis) Bosse died peacefully at her home, Saturday, October 27, 2018, after a long illness. She was born in Frenchville on November 11, 1943 to Patrick and Catherine (Chamberland) Marquis. Irma was the youngest of 7 children.
She married Robert R. Bosse on August 4, 1963. They settled in Enfield, CT, where they started their family and later moved back to St. Agatha in 1978.
Irma’s career included working in food service with her sister at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut and Production worker at Kent, Inc., in Fort Kent. In 1989 she became owner/operator of Celebrations, Crafts & Creations in Frenchville. She retired in 2006 but still continued to enjoy her passions of cooking and crafting.
She leaves behind her daughter, Lisa Bosse and her boyfriend, Dustin Desjardins of St. Agatha, Son, Dennis and wife Tammy Bosse of South Windsor, CT, One granddaughter Lyndsey Robinson and three great-granddaughters: Kaeleigh, Skylar, and Teagan also of CT. As well as many special card-playing friends, breakfast buddies and relatives.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Robert R. Bosse (1994). Her brothers, Irvin and Herman of Frenchville. Nelson and Camille of South Windsor, CT, Ronald of Enfield, CT and one sister, Patricia (Marquis) Lavoie of St. Agatha.
Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday, November 4th, 6 – 8 PM, and Monday, November 5th, from 8:30 AM until time of service at Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the St. Agatha Catholic Church with Rev. James Plourde officiating. Burial in the St. Agatha Cemetery immediately following services.
