Jeannine Blanchette passed away at home, at the age of 90, on August 3rd, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born January 23rd, 1932 in Claire, Canada, the daughter of Simonne and Emille Pelletier.
Jeannine worked at St. Joseph Nursing Home in variety of positions, but lastly as the cook for numerous years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Dames de Ste. Anne. Jeannine was an avid fisherman, often seen teaching her children and grandchildren the love of the sport. She was fantastic at Sudoku, loved playing cards, especially Dame de pique, and enjoyed winning and not being “skunked!” Her family was most important to her and you could often hear her saying “I love you.” She had a love for all animals.
Jeannine is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Conrad, children, Ronny and Carlene and her son in law, Pierre Blanchet. She is survived by sons, Conrad and wife Evelyn of Vermont, David and wife Linda and Tommy and wife Cecille of Frenchville, daughters Judi of Connecticut and Nancy of Fort-Kent, grandchildren John of Georgia, Jamie and Adele of Connecticut, Michelle and Michael of Connecticut, Lee Ann and Carl of St. Agatha, Tammy and Roland of Fort-Kent, Eric of St. Agatha, Kerri of Connecticut, Glen of Frenchville, Wendy of Presque-Isle and Kim and Ed of Smyrna and numerous great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephew, remaining sibling of 8 Gerard Pelletier of Madawaska Maine.
There will be a mass on Monday, August 8th, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Luce, Frenchville, with Father Alex. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in her name to the Edgar Paradis Cancer Fund.
