St. Agatha, ME
Jeselainne (Joyce) Zetterman passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 87 at St. Joseph’s Memory Care Center on April 16, 2025. Called home to the Lord to join her husband Glenn and infant daughter Marie. She was born August 22,1937 in Daigle, now known as New Canada, to her parents Delphie Fortin and Amanda (Dionne) Fortin. After moving around, and living in Connecticut for a bit, they moved to St. Agatha with their two sons in 1972 to begin their dream of owning a family farm. They ran the family potato farm for many years until Glenn passed in 2006.
Joyce spent her mornings waking up with the sun, reading her bible, while the birds fed at the feeders outside her window. Known to the family as Nana, she was adamant about full bellies, high spirits, singing and dancing. Nana was the heart and soul of the family. Her eyes would light up anytime anyone walked through her door, especially the great-grandchildren and her door was always open. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Daughters of Isabella for many years. She’s been loved from the day she was born and will remain so forever after. As much as we didn’t want to let Nana go, we wanted her pain to be over and her to be reunited with Papa. Nana and Papa together again, to watch over us. She will be missed deeply by us all.
She was predeceased by her parents, infant daughter Marie, her husband Glenn and 13 siblings. She is survived by her two sons, Glenn (Patricia) Zetterman and Gary (Susette) Zetterman, 2 sisters, Irene Strid of CT and Camilla (Mella) Sirois of CT, 5 grandchildren, Alex, Mindy, Zack, Katelyn and Christy, 8 great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Nate, Sam, Joey, Gabe, Issac, Ethan and Drew.
Services will be held at Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha on Thursday May 1st, 2025, at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Life flight or the Edgar Paradis Cancer Fund.
