JOHN L. OUELLETTE
John ( Hoss) Ouellette of Frenchville, ME passed away on May 19, 2023 from accidental injuries. He was born in Grand Isle, ME on November 5, 1948, the son of Lewis and Aurore (Beaulieu) Ouellette he was pre-deceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Denise Chasse of 49 years and their two sons, Scott P. of Frenchville, ME and Dennis L. of Madawaska, ME.
Eight siblings: Claude and wife Claire (Bellefleur) of Plantsville, CT, Gene and wife Sharon (Morneault) of Madawaska, ME, Rita (Ouellette) Bernard of Estero, FL, Claudette (Ouellette) and husband Alcime Morin of Grand Isle, ME, Edna (Ouellette) and husband Remi Roy of Satellite Beach, FL, Rena (Ouellette) Hassell of Grand Isle, ME, Ida (Ouellette) Baugh Harrington and husband John of Tuburon, CA, Lena (Ouellette) Baron and a special friend Bob Brinley, of Atlanta, GA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
John worked all along the St. John Valley at various jobs before settling in at Twin Rivers, where he worked for 26 years. He retired in 2004. John was known for his smile, kind heart, and generous spirit. He helped out many, whether individuals or groups in the SJV communities. In summer, he loved to ride the ATV trails and attend Frenchville ATV Club activities. During the winter, he loved to take long snowmobile rides with the St. John Valley Retirees. He also groomed the Frenchville trails and was trail master for the Frenchville Snowmobile Club until this year.
Viewing hours will be held on June 13, from 6-8 PM. at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha, ME. Mass will be June 14 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Gerard Catholic Church, Grand Isle, ME. Burial following service.
