Joseph Hector Sylvio Michaud

Joseph Hector Sylvio Michaud, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou, Maine.

He was born on June 10, 1950, in Madawaska, Maine, to Hector and Marie Antoinette (Chasse) Michaud.

Joseph proudly served in the United States Army (1968-1970) where he held the Combat Infantryman Badge and received the Army Commendation Medal for heroism for action in Vietnam.

He is survived by his four children: Aimee Lynn Michaud, Jonathan Michaud, Sharon Ann Michaud, and Sheila Marie Michaud and grandchildren; his brothers, Reno of Buffalo, NY, Jean Guys of Caribou, ME, and Gerald, of Grand Isle, ME; his sisters, Rose Cote of Grand Isle and Linda Lavoie of Mars Hill; as well as many nieces and nephews who remember him fondly.

He was predeceased by his parents, Hector and Marie Antoinette Michaud, and his brothers Eugene, Lewellen, and Leo James.

Burial will be held in early June at the VA Cemetery in Caribou, Maine.
