Fort Kent, Maine
Leena Gagnon Babin, 76, died peacefully September 20, 2019 at Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent. She was born in Madawaska, Maine on October 22, 1942 the daughter of Jeffrey and Agathe Gagnon. She is survived by the father of her children, Nelson Babin of Husdon, FL and Fort Kent, ME, two daughters and their husbands, Karen and Carl Caron of Fort Kent, Judy and Robert Valcourt of Fort Kent, two sons Mark Babin of Fort Kent and Dale Babin of New Mexico. She is also survived by her brother and 3 sisters; Clifford Gagnon of Frenchville, Charlene and Gerard (Bob) Theriault of St. Agatha, Arlene Rossignol of Frenchille and Geraldine Ling of South Carolina. She enjoyed her family, she had 6 grandchildren, Amy (Caron) Ouellette, Jessica Babin, Danielle (Babin) Thibeault, Tonya Kelly, Dale Babin Jr., Jeffery Valcourt and 12 great-grandchildren with one due in November; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Gerald and her sister Rena.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Madawaska on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Burial will be at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Cemetary in Madawaska, ME directly following the mass.
