Leo R. Lavoie, 83 died peacefully surrounded by his family after a brief illiness March 15, 2018 at a Fort Kent hospital. He was born in St. Agatha Feb. 25, 1935 the son of Fortunate and Pheobe 'Thibeault' Lavoie. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and now living his 5th day Cursillo . He worked at Fraser Paper until his retirement., and member of Our Lady of the Valley Churchs. Leo's kindness and humility found joy in the midst of his family's presence at all gatherings as the innocence of children brightened his smile as it was the spark that lit his world. His unassuming generosity and kindness shall be dearly missed in a world so needing of greater compassion and love. May his gentle nature be modeled by all, that have known him, and we allow his legacy to reside in us always. He is survived by three sons and their wives Clifford and Judy of Frenchville, Bryan and Kathy of Conn. and Kevin and Kim of Frenchville, three daughters and their husbands Mildred "Millie" and Fred Cyr of Conn., Judy and Lloyd Paradis of Frenchville, Donna and Pierre Chamberland of St. Agatha, 16 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grand Chilldren and one great/great grand child. And Fiance' Claire Bossie. Two brothers Walter of Frenchville, and Adrien of Madawaska, Five sisters, Germaine Tardif , Elsie Raymond, Yvette Lizotte, Patsy Dionne all of Madawaska, Linda Mercure of Riviiere Verte. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Rose Marie Bouchard, two brothers Roger and Roland Lavoie and one sister Irene Tardif. Friends and relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha Sunday March 18, , 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m.. Monday 8:00 a.m till time of Services.
