Lorraine Dufour, 92, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023 at a Madawaska assisted living facility after a brief illness.  She was the widow of Maxime Dufour.  She was born in St. Agatha on August 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Alice (Baron) Martin.  After she married Maxime and Lorraine moved to Connecticut where she lived and worked until 1997, she then moved back to St. Agatha.

Lorraine leaves behind two sisters, Frances Plourde of St. Agatha and Louise (Clayton) Tardif of Madawaska, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by four brothers, Maurice, Oscar, Charles and Louis “Bee”, and three sisters, Solange Plourde, Gisele Boucher and Florine Caron.

Lorraine was a member of Les Dames de St. Anne.

At Lorraine’s request, there will be no calling hours.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 in Our Lady of the Valley Church in St. Agatha.
