Lucien Bouchard, 95, died peacefully at Ridgewood Estates Aug. 8, 2016, with his family at his side. He was born in Frenchville, ME, Oct. 24, 1920, the son of Joseph and Anna 'Deschenes" Bouchard. Upon High School graduation he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps in West Harbor, ME, and worked at the Fafnir Bering Co. in New Britain ,CT. In 1944 he started farming in Frenchville, Fort Kent, ME, and Homestead, FL. He served on the board of Directors for the Soil & Water Conservation District of Aroostook. He was a director of the Production Credit Association for many years, and vice president of St. Luce Catholic Church parish council. He is survived by his wife of 56 years of marriage, Mariette 'Bechard' Bouchard of Frenchville, two sons John of Frenchville, ME and Paul and his wife Lakshmi of Fort Belvoir, VA, and one daughter Anne and her husband Jay Xu of North Potomac, MD , two grand children Jean-Pierre & Sophie. Also one brother Jean-Paul of Hooksett, NH, four sisters Claire Martin of Elkhart, IN, Teresa Roy of Waterville, ME, Irene Mc'Donald of Berlin, CT. Lucille O'Donnell of Scarborough, ME. Friends and relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in Frenchville Friday Aug. 12, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday Aug. 13, 2016, from 9 :00 a.m. till time of services. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luce Catholic Church. For those who desire, donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Maine and/or Ridgewood Estates. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
