Frenchville, Maine, Marie Theresa Labrie passed away at her home on April 8, 2026. Marie was born in Fort Kent, Maine at People’s Benevolent Hospital on October 3, 1956, the daughter of Gilman and Irene (Hebert) Labrie. After graduation from Husson College, she worked at Northern Maine Medical Center in the Medical Records Department and then she worked for the Department of Human Services until retiring in 2021. Marie served as a Girl Scout Leader for several years in Fort Kent, Maine.
She is survived by two brothers, Rev. Monsignor Jean Paul Labrie and John (Gayle) both of Fort. Kent, Maine, one sister, Linda who resides in Stacyville, Maine, one niece, Kristyn (Ryan) Waterman of Fort Mill, South Carolina, one nephew, Jared Kirby of Portland, Oregon, one great-nephew, Brady Waterman and a great-niece, Brooke Waterman.
Marie was predeceased by her parents.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at St. Luce Catholic Church in Frenchville, Maine at 10:00 a.m. In respecting Marie's request, there will be no visiting hours.
