Marie Jeanne Corriveau Picard, age 79, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at the Fort Kent Healthcare Facility. Born on October 8, 1945, she was the beloved daughter of Arthur and Germaine Corriveau of Sinclair, Maine.
Marie was a proud and active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 145 in Frenchville (Cyr Plourde Post). She is survived by her devoted husband, André Picard, of 60 years; her daughter, Jackie, and her husband Steve of New York; her son John and his partner Rachel of St. Agatha; and her late son James’ wife, Linda, of Frenchville, Maine.
She is also survived by her siblings: Gilbert Corriveau of Sinclair; Jeannette Peterson of Caribou, Maine; Paul Corriveau and his wife Marilyn of Cambridge, Massachusetts; and Joel Corriveau and his wife Diane of Methuen, Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her son James, her sister Rita, and her brother Bertrand.
Marie was deeply loved by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, cooking, and caring for others.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, at St. Joseph Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Sinclair, Maine.
