He was a hardworking son to a farming family and a loving brother to his siblings. After having an Honorable Discharge, he returned home and married his beautiful wife Winnie and became a father of six children. Besides being a family man, he was also proud of being a Lifelong member of the VFW Post 145 in Frenchville, ME. He worked as a local Milkman, a Truck Driver, and a 23 year Fraser Employee. He retired in from Fraser in 1987. He was also a volunteer Fireman for the St. Agatha Fire Dept. until his retirement after 38 years of faithful service. Maurice still enjoyed some moose hunting but talked fondly of his time in the potato fields helping local farmers during their harvesting but claimed never to have time for hobbies. After retirement he enjoyed being a delivering Senior citizen lunches for those not able to attend functions as well as delivering Ladies of St. Anne luncheons. The community remembers him fondly as a faithful believer in his church who assisted with being a Eucharistic Alter Server, collector, or proudly carrying the cross down the aisle at Our Lady of the Valley Church.
