On January 10, 2026, we said goodbye too soon to Michael Jalbert, a dear husband, father, grandfather and brother. Michael was born on September 28, 1956, in Fort Kent, Maine, the son of Philip and Madeleine (Berube) Jalbert.
The two jobs that Mike enjoyed the most were that of working for the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad as a trackman and car knocker in the north Bangor area, and as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office in Fort Fairfield. Mike enjoyed greeting and giving a hand to all his customers out on the route.
Mike had two passions in his life, that of his faith, and his beloved garden. If you stopped by to visit, the topic of faith and garden tips would certainly be involved. He would say, “The Lord and nature work in perfect union, if only we would work together with our Lord, how perfect this world would be."
He will deeply and dearly be missed by his loving wife, Patrice, sons, Lucas and Travis, and his favorite daughter, Hanna and son in law, Gareth, two grandsons, Cameron and Zachary. In addition, his brothers, Lou, Phil, Mark, Sam, Jeff, Joe, Tim, Danny, and Paul; sisters Naomi, Marie, Phyllis, Jenny, Ruth and Paula and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha on Thursday, January 15, at 6:00 pm to 8 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 16, at 11:00 am at the St. Agatha Catholic Church, a rosary before mass will be said at 10:30 am for Michael.
May the soul of Mike Jalbert, through the mercy of God, rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers, saying a rosary for Michael would be greatly appreciated.
