Nicole Gagnon Obituary

Nicole A. Gagnon

Frenchville, ME.

Nicole Gagnon, age 73, of Frenchville ME, sadly passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. She was born to the late Therese Cloutier and Gilbert Michaud June 18, 1949.

Nicole pursued a career as a beautician where she enjoyed providing services in her own beauty salon in her home, as well as providing services to those in a nursing facility.  She was an active member of the Catholic Church and her faith was profound and immeasurable.  She had a heart of gold and it resonated when she was surrounded by her grandchildren, Zachary, Megan, Shawn, Julie, and Danny; and two year old Olivia, great granddaughter. She especially loved spending quality time outdoors with her grandchildren and traveling. She had a beautiful talent of producing oil paintings which were displayed at home.

She was happy surrounded by her family and everyone that knew her, was aware of her kind heart, compassion, and consideration for others. She was not impressed by earthly things, and not interested in monetary gain. Honesty and integrity are most fitting for our dear mother, an attribute that is rare and precious.  She is finally reunited with her mother, Therese Cloutier, and Therese’s husband Yvon Cloutier, who sadly passed away in the fall of 2021.  She is also reunited with her precious grandson, Zachary, who passed away in October 2016, at age 13, following a 3 year battle with cancer.  It must be noted that Nicole and her husband Leo James persevered despite having lost their home/business many years ago and the tragic nature of being displaced from home.  They forged ahead with determination and pursued construction of their current residence and did so from the ground up, with the help of their son, Glen and a few others. She will be remembered for her strong faith and energetic spirit.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving husband, Leo James, and her children, Kim, Peggy, and Glen; and by her friends and family.  She is survived by her brother Gilles Michaud. She is finally home and at peace, and is with the Lord.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4)

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 10:00am at the St. Luce Church. Friends and family may give their condolences to the family from 9:30 until time of service at church.  Burial at St. Luce Cemetery.
