Norman St. Peter
Norman St. Peter, 99, passed away September 12, 2022 at Maine Veteran Home in Caribou, ME. He was born in Cross Lake, ME, October 19, 1922 the son of Jules and Ozithe ‘Marquis’ St. Peter.
Norman served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He went on to sell Insurances from 1946 to 1954 for United Life Insurance. In 1954 he bought St. Peters store from his parents in Cross Lake. He also removed snow for Loring Air Force Base for 34 years. He fully retired in 1994. He was in the American Legion Post #136 in Stockholm, ME, the Knights of Columbus and the VFW in Fort Kent, ME. He had a love for fishing and hunting with everyone he loved and flipping coins with friends along with many other interests like selling bait. He cherished every moment spending time with his grandchildren.
Norman is survived by sons, Jules & his wife Ruth of Cross Lake, Howard St. Peter of Caribou, ME., Greg and his wife Jeanine St. Peter of Fort Kent, ME., Rudy & his wife Lee St. Peter of Cross Lake, Andrew & his wife Petie St. Peter of Westfield, PA: 2 daughters, Mary Lou Ouellette & husband Jim of Cross Lake, ME. and Norma Marquis of Forestville, CT. He was predeceased by his wife Freda, one daughter Carol Dionne, 3 sons, Lloyd, Raymond, Wayne, one son in law, Henry Dionne, 4 grandsons, Raymond, Jamie, Jodi and Norman.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10:00am in Sinclair Catholic Church. Family and friends may give their condolences between 8:00am till 9:30am. at Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha, ME.. Burial in St. Euthrope, Cross Lake, ME.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VA Nursing Home in Caribou, ME. and St. Jude’s Children Hospital or St. Joseph Church in Sinclair, ME.
