Patricia J. Soucy

Patricia J. Soucy, 88, of Madawaska and Mapleton ME, passed away on October 26, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a strong willed woman with the spirit in her to fight a long and courageous battle with lung cancer and COPD.
She was born in Madawaska, ME, daughter of Charles J. Morin and Melvina (Clavette) Morin. She attended schools in Madawaska, and after graduation married Gilbert E. Soucy. Together they raised two daughters, Vicki and Lisa.
She worked at J.J Newberry, Chain Apparel, Town of Madawaska Public Health and also with Dr. Rino Fournier. But her most important job was a homemaker. She enjoyed many hobbies sewing, knitting, cross stitching until her hands could not continue due to Arthritis. We will cherish the sweaters and many gifts bestowed upon us. She will be missed tremendously.
She is survived by daughters, Vicki and husband, Greg Michaud of Mapleton, and Lisa and her husband, Colin Gamblin, of Hampden; her grandchildren, James Michaud of Levant, Daniel Michaud of Brewer, and Danielle Gamblin of Saco; and great-grandson, Wyatt Michaud of Levant; also many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by by her husband of sixty eight years on August 10, 2023; her five sisters, Eva Cyr Albert, Alphena Morin, Fernande Albert, Lorraine Guerrette, and Mary June Morin; and seven brothers, Alcide Cyr, Roland, Edgar, Ronaldo, Donald, Lionel, and Lucien.
A special thanks to Northern Light Home Health and Hospice and the House of Comfort for the exceptional care and support through this journey.
A graveside burial will be held in the spring of 2024. Donations in her memory may be made to The House Of Comfort, P.O. Box 867, Presque Isle, ME.
