Rena (Chamberland) Lizotte

After several years of declining health with dementia, Rena Lizotte, 91 of St. Agatha, passed away March 28, 2021 at Ridgewood Estates with her loved ones by her side. Rena was born on July 28,1929, daughter of the late Belone Jr., and Marie (Marquis) Chamberland and was raised in St. Agatha. She was married to the love her life, Rene Lizotte on November 20, 1949. Together they lived in Caribou and then moved to Sinclair where she devoted her life to raising four independent daughters, Carol, Mary Ann, Jeannine and Susan. After their retirement, they moved to St. Agatha. She had an extremely big heart and touched many people in her special way. She was an amazing cook and had a very active social life which included multiple activities such as, loving to spend time with family, playing cards, attending Bingo, knitting, crocheting, and traveling. She was employed by the U S Postal Service in Sinclair, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 63 years, Ladies of St. Anne and a volunteer for the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sinclair.
Rena will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her loving daughters Jeannine and husband Ken Michaud, Susan and husband Phil Duval and son-in-law Rick Chamberlain. Her love was never ending with her eight grandchildren, Lisa Derosier and partner Shawn Pelletier, Becky Pelletier and partner Danny Morin, Jennifer Daigle and husband Jason, Stacie Linscott and husband Jeff, Monica Chamberlain, Craig and wife Amy (Zadakis) Michaud, Travis and wife Kristal (Sirois) Duval and Jason and wife Tasha (Elsemore) Duval; her adored and cherished sixteen great grandchildren, Reece, Logan and Blake Pelletier, Kelsie, Kamden and Kaleb Daigle, Carter and Emerson Michaud, Everett, Ella, Pierson and Simon Duval; Brandon Couture and Partner Mariah Morgan, Trevor Couture; one very loving and special great-great grandson Holdan Couture. She was known as their one and only “Memere Rene.” She also leaves her sisters-in-law Bert, Rena, and Germaine Chamberland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Along with being reunited with her devoted husband Rene and loving daughters Carol and husband Dick, Mary Ann Chamberlain, infant Verna and her parents, Rena, was predeceased by seven brothers Armand, Conrad, Roland, Warren, Louis, Roger (Bee), and Abel (Babe) Chamberland ; six sisters Annie Albert, Lucina Plourde, Mathilda Ouellette, Rita St. Amant, Marie Therese Chamberland and Therese Chasse. Rena was the last surviving sibling of her family of twelve.
Due to the pandemic, funeral services will be by invitation only. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Church in St. Agatha. Committal services will be in the Spring at the Lower Cemetery in St. Agatha.
