Reynold (Ray) James Tardif, 79, died unexpectedly shortly after Christmas 2020. Mr. Tardif was born August 14, 1941 in Fort Kent, ME. to Rosaire and Hilda (St. Jean) Tardif.
He attended high school in Oblate Seminary in Bucksport and Fort Kent High School. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Fort Kent State Teachers College and pursued his Master’s degree in Mathematics from Boston College.
Among many jobs he held in his life, he was a math teacher, school assistant principal, school principal, and he worked for U.S Customs up until he retired.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Claudette Blanchette Tardif; son, John Tardif; daughter, Dr. Suzelle Hendsch; grandchildren Egan, Matthew, Gavin, Nathan; sister Theresa Chasse; sister, Geraldine Poitras; brother, Dr. Daniel Tardif.
Due to COVID concerns, no services will be held at this time. He will be buried in the Grand Isle Cemetery.
