Rina Paradis Obituary

Frenchville - Rina Paradis, 74, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022
surrounded by her beloved family at her home in Frenchville. She was born in Baker-
Brook, NB on April 4,1948, the daughter of the late Yvon and Adeline (Nadeau) Le Brun.

Rina’s source of strength came from her love for her Lord, nourished by being a daily
communicant and her weekly visits to the Blessed Sacrament. In their many moves,
Rina remained faithful by getting involved in the parish she attended as a lector, a
Eucharistic minister, member of the St. Thomas Aquinas French Choir and even helping
in the Parish Gift Shop and Faith Formation program. Faith, love and service were her
hallmarks! She kept her faith alive throughout experiences as La Rencontre, Cursillo,
Prayer Meetings, Bereavement Support groups, and Faith Sharing Cell groups.

You would never see Rina without Bob, the love of her life. They did everything
together. They lived out their marriage vows daily through the ups and downs of life,
never giving up no matter the obstacles. She cherished her time spent with her children
and her grandchildren. They were her greatest joy. She enjoyed time with her sisters
and their families and was always present at family gatherings. Playing cards with
family and friends was also a joy for her. She was very giving and held a special place
in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joel (Bob) Paradis; three sons: Dean
(Tracey) of Pittsburg, PA, Greg (Catherine) of Saco, ME, and Carl (SoYoung) of
Pittsburg, PA; seven grandchildren: Adeline, Olivia, Ella, Abigail, Jackson, Delaney, and
Joel; her step-mother, Carmen LeBrun of Edmundston, NB; seven siblings: Gaetane
Lavertu and Ghislaine (Danny) Chasse of Madawaska, Bernadette LeBrun and Diane
LeBrun (Michael) of Edmundston, NB, Carole Deschenes of Montreal, QC, Louise
Deschenes Bosse (Jean-Louis) of PEI and Gilbert of Vancouver, BC. She was
predeceased by a brother, Gaetan. She also leaves behind several brothers and
sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews and one particular nephew, Marc
LeBrun of Saskatchewan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luce Catholic Church in Frenchville on
Monday, September 12 at 10am. No visiting hours will be held.
