Robert Gagnon

St. David

Robert Gagnon, 71 passed away suddenly at home on Sunday January 21, 2018.  He was born in Frenchville on October 20, 1946 to Antoine and Irene “Ringuette” Gagnon.

 He lived in Connecticut for a few years before returning to Maine.  He worked at Ouellette Farms, Sirois Dairy then MPG Dairy and Fraser Paper.  He was a past member of the Madawaska Fire Department for many years until health became an issue.  He loved road trips, shopping, going to restaurants, craft shows, TV and radio, word find puzzles, but most of all sitting in his backyard swing watching farmers working their fields and the birds coming to the feeders and feeding pet chipmunks. Until recently he enjoyed using his two John Deere tractors mowing grass and snowblowing.

He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne (Cyr) of 51 years, a great husband and father.  One son Tom both of St. David, one brother Richard and his wife Linda of East Hartford, CT., one uncle Armand and his wife Gloria of St. Agatha, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents. 

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated May 12, 2018 at 10:00am. St .David Catholic Church. Friends and relatives may give their condolences to the family from 9:15 till time of service.
