St. Agatha, Maine. Robert C. (Bob) Michaud 11/21/1925 – 11/21/2019
Robert Michaud, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, at NMMC in Ft. Kent on November 21st , on his 94th birthday.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1925 to Donat and Amanda (Chasse) Michaud
He was predeceased by his wife, Maxine Merrithew. He will be lovingly remembered by his 3 sons, David and his wife Dot , Mark and his wife Brenda and Brian and his wife Kathy .
He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Michelle Ksyniak, Derek Michaud, Melanie Michaud and Adam Michaud and 2 great grandchildren, Lexie Pelkey and Jackson Ksyniak and a sister, Angela from Sarasota, Fla. He also leaves behind, a special friend, Celine Guerrette.
He was predeceased by his parents, 5 brothers ,Don, Richard, Jean, Jack and Raymond. Also by his 5 sisters, Sr. Gabrielle, Marie, Rose, Patricia and Jean.
He joined the Marine Corps at the age of 18 and served in WWII.
He started working as a furnace repairman for Daigle Oil Co. in Madawaska and became manager of the Company for many years until his retirement.
He was very active in various organizations, including the Kiwanas, Lion’s Club, American Legion, The St. Agatha Volunteer Fire Dept, a third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and instrumental in organizing the Red Arrow Snowmobile Club, probably his proudest accomplishment.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wed. Nov. 27th at the St. Agatha, Catholic Church at 10a.m.
Contributions in his memory may be made to Ridgewood Acitivity Dept. at Ridgewood Estates, 480 Ridgeview Ave, Madawaska, Me. 04756, or to other charities of one’s choosing.
Friends and relatives can offer condolences to the family from 9:30 until the time of service, in the back of the church.
