Ronald Landry Obituary

Ronald Landry

Frenchville, ME.

Ronald Landry, 68, passed away January 25, 2021 at N.M.M.C from a short illness.  He was born on April 25, 1952.

Ronald graduated from Wisdom High school (1971) and then became a Millwright at Fraser Paper where he worked from his graduation from high school to his early retirement from a disability in 1999.

Ronald was an avid enthusiast of summer camping season where he enjoyed camping with his daughters and wife. Boating and cruising along on his pontoon on the lake was his passion.  For many years Ronald and his family were seasonal campers at a campground in Notre Dame du Lac, Quebec located on the Temiscouata Lake. Many beautiful afternoons were spent in his boat, on the lake cruising along sightseeing and enjoying nature.

As a proud veteran of the United States Army National Guard, Ronald loved his country and was proud to fly the flag.  Ronald was a member of the American Legion Post #145 in Frenchville and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus Council #7926 of St Agatha, Me. He also humbly served his parish of Our Lady of the Valley in Frenchville as a Minister of the Holy Eucharist at which he was honored to serve in this way.  In 1994, Ron experienced a Cursillo Retreat where he met Jesus Christ and formed a personal relationship with God. From that point on, Ron always tried to be a servant of God sharing the love that God has for all His people. As a veteran, a brother Knight and a devoted parishioner, Ron was always ready to volunteer his time when asked for help.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diane (Page) Landry and his twin daughters, Tina (Brian) Guerrette of St Agatha, Me and Tania (Paul) Larson of Perham, Me.  His loving grandkids Zachary and Riley Guerrette.  A Step grandson Landon and a granddaughter Adriana Larson.  Ron enjoyed seeing pictures and or videos of all his grandkids.  One could say that he was a proud grandfather to these grandkids.  Ronald also leaves two sisters Adrienne (Roger) Couturier of St Hilaire, N. B. and Solange Landry and companion Michael Levesque from Frenchvlle, his father/mother in-law Wilmer and Sadie Page from Drummond, N.B., sisters-in-law Ginette (Yvon) Desjardins of Drummond, N.B., Isabelle (Albert) Cleveland of Drummond, N.B. Line (Yves) Cormier of St Jacques, N.B., brothers in-law Pierre (Brenda) Page of St Andre, N. B. and Stephen Page of Drummond, N.B.  Ronald is also survived by many nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins from both sides of his family and the in-laws family.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Adrien Landry and Edwina Cyr.

Ronald has now moved on to his 5th day!

Due to current COVID limitations, a private Mass will be celebrated.  Burial will take place in the spring at the VA Cemetery in Caribou, ME.
