Ronald "Ron" Joseph Daigle Obituary

 

Sinclair, ME.

Ronald J. Daigle, 79 went to see the Lord on Wednesday May 29, 2024, after battling COPD and ILD for the pass 5+ years. He was born August 12, 1944, in Fort Kent ME.  The son of late Adrain (Pete) Daigle and late Rita (Picard) Daigle. He loved the outdoors from fishing, hunting, and working with his equipment. He was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus Council 7920, American Legion Post 145 Life member for 50+years, served in the United States Army from 1963 to1966 serving both in Korea (Radio Communications) and Vietnam War, and Disabled American Veteran Life Member. Ron managed Ron’s Maple Grove in Sinclair, ME for many years after his father (Pete) retired, worked as Supervisor/carpenter for General Corporation (Caribou, ME), worked at Loring Air Force Base as heavy equipment mechanic in the Snow Barn, as well as being a self employed carpenter. He also served as Aroostook County Deputy Sheriff for 10 years in the 70s.

Ron is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rena Mary Michaud Daigle.  Daughter, Tammy Eaton (Mike Sirois), Son, Troy Daigle (Denise McIntyre), Stepdaughter, Amy Pelletier (Jacque), Stepson, Joey Tardif. Granddaughters: Hayley Lilies, and Lyndsay Daigle. Grandsons Tylor Corriveau (Bailey Pelletier), Mason Eaton, Dawson Eaton, Brody Daigle, Ryhen Daigle, Chase Avery Daigle, Blake Avery-Daigle. Great Granddaughter, Luna Lilies. Great Grandsons, Emerson Corriveau, Liam Lilies. Sister, Linda Lee Dumond, Brother, Jimmy Daigle, Stepbrother, Steve Bard. Ron leaves behind nieces, Nikki Ring (Steve), Sydney Ring, Morgan Dumond, Sydney Dumond and nephews, Vincent Frallicarrdi (Melanie Michaud), Brandon Ring, Connor Ring, Darren Devoe. As well as many Sister-In-Laws and Brother-n-Laws. He was predeceased by his parents (Adrain Daigle, Rita Picard), his first wife Nancy Pelletier Daigle, sister, Patricia Frallicciardi, son, Master Sergeant Todd P Daigle, Grandson, Gavin Daigle, Great Granddaughter, Evangeline (Evie) Nancy Corriveau.

As per Ron’s request: Burial details entrusted to Michaud’s Funeral Home St. Agatha, ME. Mass: Calling hours on Saturday, 8:00 to 9:30 at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha. Mass following at the St. Agatha Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Luncheon will be in Sinclair at St. Joseph Catholic Church, burial will be in July in the Sinclair Cemetery, date will be announced. I would like to thank the Northern Light Hospice Team for all their help and support in providing Ron with end of life care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DAV ,1 VA Center, Togus, ME 04330, St Joseph Catholic Church heating fund or Northern Light Hospice Team.
