Roy Dumond, 82, of Madawaska passed away peacefully on November 28, 2022 at a Fort Kent Healthcare Facility after a long battle with Dementia.  Roy was born on August 20, 1940 to Freeman and Emily (Morin) Dumond.  He leaves behind his soul mate of 58 years Sharon (McLaughlin) Dumond.  She was the love of his life and they shared a love like no other.  Three sons, Micheal (LeeAnn), Mitchell (Paula), Dale (Victorianna). One daughter Angela.  Eleven grandchildren who were the light of his life. Robyn, Alyssa, Indya, Yannick, Ella, Frankie, Liam, Keedan, Olivia, Van and Archer.  He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Antoinette, Cecile, Raynold and Kathleen.  Surviving siblings Noella, Aline, Leo, Jerry and Shirley and many extended family. 

Roy was loved by many.  He had a heart of gold and a smile for everyone.  Roy drove a school bus for 23 years in the Madawaska School System.  He was lovingly known as “Mr. Roy”, (the cool bus driver).  Anyone lucky enough to know him, loved him.

Special thanks to the staff at Forest Hill for the excellent care given to Roy these last two years.  The family thanks you for loving him as much as we do. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Forest Hill, 25 Bolduc Ave., Fort Kent, ME.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday December 30 @ 10:00am.  Family and friends may give their condolences around 9:15am. at the St. David Church.  Burial will be in the Spring.
