Stella Ouellette, 91, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2022, with family by her side. She was born on March 19, 1931 in Fort Kent, ME, the daughter of Donat Voisine and Regina Dubois.
A devout catholicand pillar of the community, Stella was active in a multitude of organizations, to include the Catholic Order of Foresters, The American Legion Auxiliary, Les Dames de Ste. Anne, and many more. She was an expert in the art of crochet, providing ‘pichous’ for the community. An inspirational woman, she spread love and kindness everywhere she went.
Stella is predeceased by her parents and step-father, Leonard Theriault, her loving husband Normand “Bee”, her daughter Roberta “Bunny”, her son, Norman “Bim”, son-in-law, David Dumond, and great-grandson, Drew. She is survived by daughters, Glenna and husband, Philip Guerrette, of St. Agatha and Paula Dumond of Kentucky; special daughter-in-law, Karen Ouellette of Fort Kent; special granddaughter, who she raised as her own, Kim Pelletier and husband, Donald, of Fort Kent; grandchildren, Ryan Guerrette and wife, Dawn, of New Jersey, Nicole Ouellette of New York, Michelle Dubois and husband, Justin, of Fort Kent, Danielle Pelletier and husband, Chad , of Fort Kent, and Julie Dumond of Fort Kent; and five great-grandchildren, Ella Dubois of Fort Kent, Dylan and Dean Guerrette of New Jersey and Makenna and Mylee Pelletier of Fort Kent. Her surviving siblings include Conrad P. Voisine and wife Theresa, of Fort Kent, and Cora Daigle of South Carolina.
In light of Stella’s wishes, there will be no calling or visitation. Following cremation, a mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10am, at Our Lady of the Valley Church, Frenchville, with the Rev. David Raymond and Fr. Alex officiating. Internment will immediately follow at St. Luce Cemetery.
