Theresa A. (Ouellette) Pelletier

Theresa A. Pelletier, 83, affectionately known as Terry, formerly of Frenchville, ME, and a current resident of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away on February 10, 2025. Born in Frenchville on March 7, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Edna Ouellette.

Terry was predeceased by her husband, Roland J. Pelletier, and her brother, Pierre Paul Ouellette. She is survived by her brothers, Luc Ouellette and Joseph P. Ouellette, both of New Britain, CT; her daughter, Janis & Matthew Hayes of Croton-on-Hudson, NY; her son, Philip & Robin Pelletier of Tewksbury, MA; and six cherished grandchildren: Emily, Kevin, Josh, Riley, Jake, and Lauren. Terry is also survived by many in-laws and "outlaws" (as she affectionately called herself), as well as her loyal dog, Buddy.

Terry’s home on Starbarn Avenue was always welcoming, where she enjoyed listening to music from her outdoor speakers and chatting with people who stopped for spring water at the fountain across from her home. Here, she and Roland raised their children and became active members of the St. John Valley community.

A devoted mother and avid sports fan, Cub Scout Den Mother, Terry was always present for her children’s and grandchildren’s activities, offering unwavering support. She found immense joy in family reunions, particularly the Ouellette and Pelletier gatherings, and cherished her time at the Acadian Festival in the St. John Valley. As a lifelong member of St. Luce Parish, the Frenchville Historical Society, the Frenchville ATV Club, and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Terry immersed herself in community life. Her adventurous spirit led her to climb Mount Katahdin with the Wisdom High School Athletic Club and explore the trails of the St. John Valley with her friends on ATV. Terry was always ready for a new challenge—whether it was tackling a home project with a hammer in hand, playing baseball, picking potatoes, or riding ATVs.

Terry will be remembered for her warmth, sense of humor, unwavering love for her family, and the countless ways she contributed to her community.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Luce Catholic Church in Frenchville on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Family and friends may offer their condolences at 9:00 AM before services begin at the St. Luce Catholic Church.
