Valier (Pit) Ouellette, 69 went to be with the Lord & Loved ones on Oct. 3, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Valier was born on September 1, 1945 son of the late Edwin and Yvonne (Chamberland) Ouellette.
Valier (Pit) will always be remembered for being a very determined and hard working man. He never understood the words "fail" or "no". When others would have given up, whether it be on health or work, he worked harder to succeed. After a farming accident left him injured in the 1980's, against all odds given by doctors, Pit was determined he would go back to work, and farmed for another 25 years alongside his sons. Farming was what he knew, his passion, and what he loved, and was so proud to be able to hand down that passion to his sons and grandsons. Others will remember his laugh, smile and teasing ways, especially his daughter in laws whom he loved to constantly tease, often referred to as "les petite bru" Pit was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and also a Volunteer firefighter for the Frenchville Fire Department for 27 years.
Valier is survivied by the love of his life, his wife for nearly 47 years Ann Marie (Guerrette) Ouellette. With pride, his three loving sons. Bruce and Wife Jean of Madawaska, Calvin and Nicole, Derek and wife Trisha both of Frenchville, and special daughter in law Karen of St. David. He had seven beloved grandchildren who meant the world to him, Amber, Cody, Dalton, Landen, Ashley, Kyle, and Brandon. Also survived by one brother, Joel of Ct., and four sisters, Herby and Joanne Gorneault of Fl., Raoul and Marie Rose Sirois, Frank and Claudette Chasse, and Judy Voisine all of Ct. and sister in law Irma Ouellette of VB.& sister in law Hazel Raymond Florida and several nephews nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son Glenn, brothers, Doland, Rosaire, Bertrand, and one sister Doris, brother in laws Origene Beaulieu and Clayton Voisine, & sister in-law Yvette (Landry) Ouellette.
Friends and relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in Frenchville Friday Oct 10,2014 from 8 a.m till time of services at 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the St. Luce Catholic Church will with Father Jim Plourde officiating.
