She was born on May 30, 1935 in St. Agatha, Maine, the daughter of the late Onezime and Laura (Bourgoin) Hebert. After marrying on September 2, 1952, the young couple welcomed their oldest child, Danny the following year in October. In 1978, cancer struck, and after 26 years of marriage, Yvette became a widow at the age of 43. In a true testament to who she was, Yvette then put herself through college at UMFK, where she received a Bachelor Of Science Degree in Education in 1982, at the age of 47. She then taught Special Education, retiring in 2001.
Yvette is survived by 3 sons, David (Brenda) Michaud of Fort Kent; Donald (Sara Kay) Michaud of Chesire, Connecticut; and Dennis Michaud of Fort Kent.
