Yvonne G. Desjardins, 76 was called to join our eternal savior after a battle she fought so strongly to the very end. She was born on November 11, 1947 in Edmunston, New Brunswick, Canada. She is survived by the love of her life, Robert Desjardins of Grand Isle. Together they raised 4 strong and beautiful girls. Tina Curit and her husband Michael of Saco, ME, Sandy McDonald and her husband Chris of Oakland, ME, Michelle Pelletier and her husband Mitchell Pelletier of St, Francis, ME and Debbie Desjardins and her partner Paul Constantini of Yardley, PA. She is survived by nine grandchildren – Devin, Delainey, Deanna and Dominic Curit, Austin, Connor and Jaxon Pelletier and Joseph and Amelia, “Vi” Sutherland and one great granddaughter, Bella Anne Curit. She is also survived by her sister Marie- Anne Cyr and her husband Reginald Cyr of Madawaska, ME, a brother James Sirois of Beausejour, Manitoba, Canada and Robert Sirois of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Joan Marquis and husband Dave of Biddeford, ME, a brother-in-law, Dan Desjardins and wife Carol of Madawaska, ME., Scott Desjardins and his wife Libby of, Kentucky, Peter Desjardins of Houlton, ME and Ricky Desjardins and his wife Stacy of Summerville, SC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as an enormous circle of friends.

Yvonne is predeceased by her parents, Yvon and Simone (Cyr) Sirois, her mother and father in law, Adrien and Viola Desjardins, two very special sister in laws, Judy Desjardins and Linda Morin, who she called her sisters and her best friends as well as a sister in law Sharon Sirois and a brother in law, Ronald Desjardins.

Yvonne will always be remembered as a gentle soul and an individual with a huge heart and who was always willing to help anyone in need. Our family would like to thank the entire staff of the Acute Care Unit at Cary Medical Center. Your care and utmost affection for our mother and wife did not go unnoticed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to any animal shelter in Maine.

Visitation will be at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha on Sunday, November 26 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and services to take place on Monday November 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Grand Isle ME.
